"Is it safe?" is the right first question to ask about any tool you paste an essay into. An unfinished paper contains your ideas, sometimes personal details, and occasionally material you are not allowed to share. This page answers the question for HumanizeMyPaper specifically, in three parts: what happens to your data, whether the business is legitimate, and what "safe" means for your academic record. Part 1: what happens to your text

In transit

Everything between your browser and HumanizeMyPaper travels over HTTPS with HSTS enabled, which means a browser that has visited once will refuse to connect insecurely afterwards. The site also ships a Content Security Policy that restricts which scripts can run on its pages. These are the baseline controls you should expect from any service that handles documents, and they are in place.

While it is processed

Our privacy policy states it plainly: the text you submit is processed in order to provide the humanization service, together with metadata such as word counts, the mode you chose, and timestamps. Usage counts (for example, how many humanizations you ran today) are recorded to enforce plan limits. That is the full list. Your text is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.

Afterwards

Submitted text is retained only as needed for the history and reporting features you see in your dashboard. Two things follow from that:

• You can delete your humanization history yourself, at any time, from the dashboard. Nothing to email, nothing to wait for.
• You can request access, export, correction, or deletion of your personal data by writing to privacy@humanizemypaper.com, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority if you are unhappy with the response.

If you are working with genuinely sensitive material (a patient case study, an unpublished dataset, a confidential client document), the sensible rule applies to every online tool, ours included: anonymise it first, or do not paste it.

Part 2: your account and your money

Passwords and sign-in

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Sessions are handled securely, sign-in with Google is available if you prefer not to manage another password, and there is a standard forgot-password flow with emailed reset links.

Payments

HumanizeMyPaper does not see or store your full card number, CVC, or bank details. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. What HumanizeMyPaper keeps is limited billing metadata: your plan, a transaction identifier, and the payment status. That is the same model used by most reputable subscription software, and it means a breach of HumanizeMyPaper's own database could not expose card numbers, because there are none in it.

Cancelling

Subscriptions can be cancelled from your profile. When you cancel, paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, then stops. There is a published refund policy, terms of service, and acceptable-use policy. A tool that hides its refund terms is a warning sign; these are linked in the footer of every page.

Part 3: is HumanizeMyPaper legit?

Reasonable question, given how many sites in this category appear and vanish. The signals worth checking for any tool, and how HumanizeMyPaper measures up:

• Public pricing with the limits spelled out. Plans, daily humanization counts, and words per input are on the pricing page, not revealed after signup.

Using a humanizer to make your own writing read naturally is generally fine. If English is not your first language, if you write in a rigid academic template, or if a grammar tool has flattened your voice, you are exactly the kind of writer detectors flag by mistake. The Stanford study of seven detectors found an average 61% false-positive rate on essays by non-native English speakers. Using a humanizer to disguise work you did not do is not fine, and it is getting harder. Turnitin's February 2026 update added a category in its AI report for AI-generated text that appears to have been modified by a bypasser tool. That is aimed directly at the "generate, launder, submit" workflow, and it is misconduct under nearly every policy whether or not it is detected.
